The cost for speeding or comitting a traffic violation is set to get quite a bit higher for Colorado residents this summer. With the cost of gasoline at a record high and traffic ticket fines raising, it certainly sounds more appealing to take the lead foot of the gas pedal for motorists in the sunshine state. And an added bonus of folks slowing down and being more careful, the roadways should become safer as statistics show, speed kills. We here at the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office take traffic safety seriously as we have all seen our fair share of tragic accidents caused by careless driving.
